Do you feel a bit overwhelmed by the complexity and rapid change in the field of educational technology? Well here is a map of at least some of the technology that you are either already responsible for or may be thinking about investigating for future use.
Obviously you cannot do your job as a teacher, preparing your subject matter materials, grading, interacting with students, and also be able to tackle the dizzying array of technological possibilities. My suggestion is to pick one technology area, let’s say simulations, and try to master that area and integrate it into your curriculum. Leave the rest for future consideration.
The other question is what technology initiatives is your district, school, or department pushing for you to learn? And are those initiatives realistic along with your other responsibilities? Please share what is happening in your school.
